VRcompare primarily sources information from device measurements and manufacturer statements.

Manufacturer Statements

We source much of our device information from manufacturer statements. This can include:

• Press releases, interviews, or other public facing statements
• Manufacturer-provided spec sheets
• Patents
• Direct communication between ourselves and manufacturers
• Statements from suppliers and contractors of manufacturers (such as display manufacturers)

Device Measurements

As follows is a list of specific sources we use for device measurement data:

• hmdgdb (by risa2000)  – HMD Geometry Database & hmdq Measurement Tool
• Cas & Chary VR  – VR YouTubers (HMD Tester measurements provided)
